Today, let me introduce the installation and usage instructions of the screw conveyor
Spiral conveyor (winch) is a continuous conveying equipment that can transport horizontally, obliquely, and vertically. It has a compact structure, is sealed and dust-proof, and is commonly used in U-shaped groove and tubular screw types.
Installation
1. Place the equipment in place, adjust the bracket, maintain the horizontal/inclined design of the whole machine, and fix the foundation firmly.
2. The flanges of each section should be aligned, the screw shaft should be centered, and there should be no misalignment. The seals should be installed in place.
3. Motor installation, belt/chain alignment, and protective cover must be installed properly.
4. Wiring: Three phase 380V power supply, with proper grounding protection. Before testing, confirm the direction of rotation. Incorrect spiral direction can cause material blockage.
5. Check and add lubricating oil to each lubrication part. 
Operating procedures
Check before startup
1. Check for any foreign objects or large debris inside the body and clean the interior.
2. Check that the fasteners are not loose and that the oil level of the bearings and gearbox is normal.
3. Check that the inlet and outlet are unobstructed and the soft connections are intact. 
Start up and run
1. No load start: Start the machine first, operate normally, and then start feeding (it is strictly prohibited to start with material, as it is prone to burning the motor and twisting the shaft).
2. Add materials evenly and avoid adding them suddenly at once to prevent material blockage.
3. Operation observation: There is no abnormal noise, severe vibration, material leakage, or abnormal bearing temperature rise.
4. Shutdown sequence: Stop feeding first, empty the materials inside the machine, and then stop the machine.
5. It is forbidden to shut down the machine for a long time due to moisture and clumping of materials, which may cause the screw to get stuck.
Daily maintenance and upkeep
every day
-Observe the running sound and temperature, and check for any material leakage.
-Clean up the accumulated materials at the inlet and outlet.
weekly
-Check the tightening of bolts and add lubricating grease to the bearings; Check the seal for wear and material leakage.
monthly
-Check the oil level of the reducer and the wear of the chain/coupling; Check the spiral blades for wear and deformation.
Long term discontinuation
-Empty all materials from the machine, clean the interior thoroughly, lubricate the bearings, and ensure rust prevention. 
Fault handling
1. Material blockage shutdown: Power off immediately! Do not forcefully turn on the machine, open the inspection port, manually clean the materials, identify the cause of material blockage (too fast feeding, material clumping, excessive tilt angle), and then restart.
2. Abnormal noise: Check if the spiral shaft is eccentric, if the blades are rubbing against the cylinder, if the bearings are damaged, or if foreign objects have entered.
3. Bearing heating: lack of oil, seal damage, coaxiality deviation, replenish grease or replace parts.
4. Leakage: The seal is aging, replace the gasket/skeleton oil seal.
Safety precautions (key points)
1. It is strictly prohibited to open the access cover during operation, and hands are not allowed to enter the machine body.
2. Equipment maintenance must cut off the power supply, hang warning signs, and prevent accidental start-up.
3. It is strictly prohibited to transport large, hard, tangled, highly viscous materials that are not easy to flow and may damage the blades.
4. The motor casing should be reliably grounded to prevent electrical leakage.
5. During equipment operation, the protective cover must not be removed.
